Business valuation calculators for UK business owners

Fifteen calculators built around the way UK buyers actually price SMEs, grouped into understanding your value today, planning future value, and testing a transaction. Enter your figures, see your results straight away, and take a branded report with you if it helps.

Understand your business value

Start here: maintainable earnings, revenue quality and what a buyer would inherit.

Plan future value

Set a target, size the gap, and work out what preparation and growth it would require.

Understand a transaction

Test an offer, a structure or a funding plan before you commit to it.

How to use the suite

  1. Work out your maintainable adjusted EBITDA, because everything else builds on it.
  2. Size the gap between today's indicative value and the value you want to reach.
  3. Check what an offer at that value would actually put in your hands.
  4. Test any offer you receive against published sector guidance before you respond.
  5. Then compare your results side by side, with a note on what each metric measures and why the figures are not interchangeable.

This calculator provides general, indicative guidance based solely on the information entered. It is not a formal business valuation, tax calculation, legal opinion or recommendation to accept or reject an offer. Actual value and sale proceeds depend on detailed financial, commercial and transaction-specific factors.

Questions owners ask

Are these business valuation calculators free?
Yes. All fifteen calculators are free, need no sign-up, and show your results on screen before you decide whether to share your details for a branded report or a confidential review.
Which calculator should I start with?
Start with the adjusted EBITDA calculator, because every other calculation depends on a maintainable earnings figure a buyer would accept.
Are the results a formal valuation?
No. Each result is indicative guidance based only on the figures you enter. A formal valuation requires normalised earnings, evidenced comparable UK transactions and a worked equity bridge.
Where do the sector multiple ranges come from?
They come from the UK SME Valuation Multiples Guide, covering twelve sectors and split by under £1m and £1m+ adjusted EBITDA. They are guidance for UK SMEs, not a quotation for your business.
Do you store the figures I enter?
Only if you choose to send your results to us. Until you submit the form, the calculation stays in your browser.
Can advisers use these calculators with their clients?
Yes. Approved partner firms can embed the calculators on their own website with their branding shown alongside ours. Contact us to discuss access.
